2006-May-25: MCLC Playoff Schedule Set
Gentlemen,
Here is the tentative bracket for the tourney. The idea is this - for all the lower brackets (at the end of the day) to finish on Sat and not have to play early Sunday morning. Historically, many of the teams playing for the lower places (ie - 5-6 or 7-8 place) that have to play early on Sun have no-shows and it screws the team that got up early and showed up - they then try to get a half hearted game with whomever will play them. It can be a long day with 3 games, but many tourneys are like this. If both teams agree, you can cut the quarters down to 15 minute running instead of the standard 20 minute running.
Because there are 10 teams, there will be an INTRA-division "play in" between the 4th and 5th seed to get into the 4th seed for the 8 team bracket. The two losers of the 4th seed "play in" will play eachother for a second game and each of them will then play Mt Adams later that day for their third game.
The 3-4 place and championship games will be on Sunday.
