Miami University Seeks Lacrosse Coaches
Gentlemen,
Miami University is actively rebuilding the program to compete on a national level. We are coming off the first winning season (8-5) since 2002 and the first conference play-off experience since that same season. We only had 5 seniors on that team and 3 seniors this coming season so the future is bright. We play in the MCLA (Major Collegiate Lacrosse Association) and are part of the CCLA (Central Collegiate Lacrosse Association) conference which includes Michigan (national champ the last two years), West Virginia, University of Pittsburgh, University of Buffalo, Louisville, Michigan State, Ball State, and all of the directional Michigan's (East, West, and Central). Our out of conference schedule this season included Vanderbilt, Tennessee, Middle Tennessee State, Kentucky, John Carroll, Butler, and Carnegie Mellon.
I am trying to recruit coaches to help build the team and program and thought someone on the men's team might be interested. Out practice schedule is a couple of nights a week. We are still in the process of increasing funding to help support a coaches staff, so you should be aware that compensation will be minimal this season until we organize that portion of the team. I have volunteered my time the last two seasons as we build.
If you could please forward this to your team members and have anyone that might be interested contact me to discuss it further.
Thanks,
Chuck Wilson
