2010-Mar-29: Cincinnati Mens Lacrosse Club Spring 2010 Season Info
We are 13 days until our first game. Hopefully you've gotten out to run a little or hit the wall. We play Columbus at home on April 11, 1 pm. Home games are at Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy (CHCA), corner of Kemper and Snider Road on the main turf field. There is another copy of the schedule below. Tom McDonald has the schedule posted at www.cincinnatilax.com as well as other information.
Our schedule starts off with some difficult games, Columbus, and Chicago teams. These are important due to the new points systems developed by the league. All of these teams finished in the top 4 in the tourney last year, so we get more points for playing them as well beating them. These early wins would help to get a slot in the tournament. If anyone wants a copy of the new points system I can re-email it to you.
**Now some general house keeping crap**
At the early preseason scrimmages we had a lot of new young talent, which is great. So rather than show up 10 minutes before the start of this first game lets all show up early on April 11th. I was thinking 11:45 AM. We need this time to help get organized. I can get you a jerseys if you need one. I would like to get a better list of who is who rather than just random email address. We also need to get a feel for whose who, what kind of line up we can run as well as just a simple warm up.
Another important topic is dues. Money makes the world go round and this includes club lacrosse. We have to pay for field time, refs and league dues. Everyone needs to pay dues, $100 per year. This is not a money making operation, we barely have reserves in our account so paying your dues is very important. You can pay cash or make a check payable to Cincinnati Club Lacrosse and bring it to the game.
One benefit to playing at CHCA is that we can hit the Silver Spring House after the games.
